She completed her MBBS in the mid-1970s, followed by MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and holds a Diploma in Gynaecology & Obstetrics from AMFCE Pune. Dr. Sharma has extensive experience in advanced vaginal, laparoscopic, and urogynaecological surgeries, and manages both routine and high-risk obstetric cases, including IVF-related patient care. She is also recognised as an expert examiner for postgraduate National Board examinations and is respected for her compassionate, patient-centric approach and strong surgical acumen.
