NICRH is Bangladesh's premier cancer treatment and research facility, offering comprehensive patient management, education, and research services. Originally started in a temporary building in 1982, it was moved to its current location in 1986. Over the years, it has expanded its services and infrastructure, including the introduction of a 300-bed facility in 2015, upgraded from an initial 50-bed setup, and plans to expand to a 500-bed hospital.
Services & Departments: NICRH provides a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services for cancer, including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. It houses several specialized departments such as Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and more, supporting both adult and pediatric cancer care. The institute also focuses on education, offering courses in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Surgical Oncology, and participates in national and community health initiatives.
